It seems Telus will carry the Windows Phone based Nokia 1020 smartphone. It is the first new Windows Phone to be sold by the carrier since the Nokia Lumia 800 in 2012. It is expected that Telus will carry other Nokia Lumia models including the 625.

The Nokia Lumia is also coming to Rogers in October so it will be interesting to see how they compete with this device. 

For those that don't know, the Lumia 1020 is a smartphone with an incredible 41 megapixel camera. It is actually the best camera on any smartphone right now and amazes everyone who uses it. If you are already an iPhone or Android user then you would find the Windows Phone ecosystem severely limiting (huge lack of apps). If you are coming from a dumb-phone or feature-phone then you will love the Windows Phone because it is easy to use and decently powerful.
