Although these can be fake, a quick investigation tends to support the fact that these were talen from the Pegatron plant in Shanghai.

The Sina Weibo post says this was an employee working in quality control and thus we get this pic that shows devices charging in preparation for testing. 

Everything should be revealed at the September 10 launch so we won't have to speculate much longer.
