RIM's market guidance was that it's new Blackberry 10 equipped devices would be released sometime in Q1 2013 which means they would have to start production a couple of months before. Now Digitimes is reporting that
“Taiwan-based handset component makers including Silitech Technology, Ichia Technologies as well as ODM Wistron are expected to begin small volume production of RIM’s BlackBerry 10-based products in December.”
The statement is logical but Digitimes seems to have a 50/50 success rate at predicting new handset manufacturing dates.
